Dávid studied Software Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. First he got in touch with vehicle industry during the writing of his thesis.  His task was to build an intrusion detection system on CAN network. In 2017 he started to work for Robert Bosch Kft. Since then Dávid implemented automated security tests, worked on a black-box ECU fuzzer and participated in penetration testing of vehicle electronics.



Intelligent Protocol Fuzzing of Automotive Devices

Fuzzing is considered as one of the most powerful automated software testing methods when we talk about black-box testing. Despite the fact that plenty of toolkits are available in the industry, it is very hard to adapt them to unique needs, for example to Ethernet based automotive ECU testing. In our project we created a protocol and target device independent fuzzing toolkit, with which comprehensive test services can be provided in a reusable manner.
